Ash Management & Solid Waste Committee

The USWAG Ash and Solid Waste Committee is responsible for addressing utility-specific matters related to the management and disposal of CCR, including regulatory developments from EPA and other agencies. The committee provides the following services:

  • A forum for member companies to interface with their peer utilities, environmental professionals, and EPA staff
  • Tracking of regulatory and legislative activities
  • Development and submittal of stakeholder input and/or comments
  • Compliance support and legal counseling on specific issues member companies may face
  • Annual CCR Workshop supported by affiliates and additional webinars throughout the year
